Welcome to our Nursery

Starting your child's journey with us at Shawley Community Primary Academy, part of the LEO Academy Trust, means they are embarking on a truly exciting adventure. Our nursery is where a love of learning begins, and we are committed to providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for every child.

Our Nursery Experience

We believe that learning should be fun and engaging. Our approach is centered around play-based learning, encouraging children to explore, discover, and develop new skills at their own pace. We provide a dedicated Nursery indoor and outdoor space where curiosity is sparked and friendships are made.

Our nursery features a thoughtful design with 2 dedicated learning spaces: the Cubs Room for our youngest children, and the Pandas Room for our 3-4 year olds who are preparing for Reception. Each room is designed to spark curiosity and learning. We also provide a quiet, separate sleep room, a dedicated changing area, and child-height toilets and sinks to encourage independence. Our kitchen facilities allow us to prepare healthy snacks and light tea for the children.

The nursery is an integral part of our school community, and our dedicated team works closely with each child to help them feel secure and happy, building the crucial foundations needed for a successful transition into Reception.

Beyond our indoor and outdoor learning areas, we have a strong focus on outdoor education. Our unique Forest School program allows even our youngest learners to connect with nature, build resilience, and develop a sense of wonder in the world around them. Sport Specialist within LEO ensuring physical development is prioritised through a diverse range of activities.
