15 & 30 Hours Funding

Universal and Extended Entitlement

All children are eligible for 15 hours of nursery funding per week, from the term after they turn three years old. Working parents of three and four-year-olds may be eligible for an additional 15 hours of extended entitlement.

Working parents of two-year-olds may also be eligible for 30 hours per week of nursery funding from the term after their child turns nine months old.

Funding for Two-Year-Olds

Some families with two-year-olds may also be eligible for 15 hours of funding from the term after their child turns two. For details on eligibility and how to apply, please search 2-year-old funding on the Local Authority Website.

Important Information

It's a good idea to apply for your funding code as soon as you can, even if you are unsure if you will use it. The code is only valid from the term after you apply, and this will ensure you have the option should your circumstances change.
