Learning at Home
Children are encouraged to read at home on a daily basis and we ask that this is recorded in their Home Learning Diaries. They are also asked to access both Doodle Maths and Spelling for at least five minutes each day to keep themselves 'in the green zone'. Children in KS2 also have access to 'Times Tables Rock Stars'.
Each term a range of home learning activities are set by teachers on Google Classroom to complement and enrich the learning that is happening at school. We also complete a termly whole school project about our local area. Details of our expectations are sent to parents at the beginning of each school year, explaining how home learning operates at each stage of the school.
Doodle Maths
Every child has a Doodle Maths account. The expectation is that all children will complete their Daily Activities. They can do this by logging into their account and completing the tasks that have been set automatically by the computer. Once they have completed these tasks, they can then go onto other areas of the website like Doodle Tables, English and Spelling.
